So Switzerland announced recently that it thinks it has found a solution to young teens having unprotected sex: tiny condoms. Statistics suggest that 12 to 14 year olds do not use sufficient protection. I dunno, i kind of think that it has more to do with the fact that they’re kids, but hey, let’s get them some condoms that fit better anyway, i mean, it couldn’t hurt. Anyway, the Swiss are marketing their extra small Hotshot Condoms at boys as young as 12. A standard condom has a diameter of 52mm in comparison with the Hotshot’s 45mm, however, both are the same length, 190mm.Engineers believe that the new design will prevent slipping during sex. These new Hotshots condoms  will be distributed through Swiss schools in a package with information about HIV/AIDS. They will also be on sale at stores with a box of six condoms costing $7. Hopefully the helpfulness of these condoms will be seen in Switzerland, and eventually they will become marketed and commercially available worldwide. I think that it couldn’t hurt, and if this is another step that we can take to keep kids safe, then why not take it? Be safe kiddies!
