IDENTITY

So i am coming up on the end of high school quickly, and there is so much going through my mind. So many deadlines, so much to do and talk about, to prepare for, and to come to terms with. It seems that every day i go to school, i sit through a boring daze of study halls and classes that just drag on and on or what seems like hours. I can’t seem to find anything interesting, and by the end of the day i am tired and have a minor headache. After the dull hours of class time, i am less than thrilled to go to any of the many extracurricular activities that i am involved in. However, through all of this useless nonsense, i cannot help but be excited every day, because of the mere realization that i will, in a matter of months, be graduating from high school, a concept which gives me butterflies by the mere thought. Applications have gone out, which were my biggest stressor, and financial aid is finally complete. Senior pictures are being ordered, and there are yearbook deadlines, and cap and gown deadlines, among other things. But most of all, this is a changing time in my life, a time where i can move on, grow, and progress towards my future. For the first time in my life, i will be out of a controlled environment, and be free to pursue the things that are most important to me. I simply cannot wait to move on from high school, away from the lifestyle i have become so accustomed to. Life is soon going to change, and i am ready to face it, head on. Say goodbye to high school, and hello to life :)
